OU Israel Free Spirit Marketing Manager
About Us:
OU Israel Free Spirit, an official Birthright Israel trip organizer since 1999, runs winter and
summer trips for young adults between 18-32. Our department is made up of self-starters who
are highly motivated and team orientated. We pride ourselves in having a culture of open
dialogue, innovation, and out-of- the box thinking. We are seeking to fill our Marketing Manager position with someone who is passionate about the role and the mission.
Essential job functions:
- Oversee and implement marketing and brand strategy of OU Israel Free Spirit across all platforms including website, social media, email, etc
- Develop engaging marketing content and messaging that attracts young adult demographic
- Be the voice of Israel Free Spirit’s social media accounts
- Create innovative email and text campaigns to move potential participants through customer journey
- Update website via WordPress with user-friendly capabilities and SEO optimization
- Set and monitor goals through URL parameter tracking, Google analytics, and social media insights
- Submit proposals for new program initiatives that exhibit educational and marketing value
- Design social media graphics and video Canva, iMovie, and other apps
- Use Salesforce to update database throughout customer journey and monitor growth
- Perform market research to track progress and determine new areas of growth
- Work closely with our Strategic Partnerships & Recruitment Manager to create and organize promotional materials and strategy for partners and brand ambassadors
- Be one of the primary liaisons between Birthright Israel and the Orthodox Union in marketing matters
- Partner with web developers, photographers, videographers, PR consultants, etc to develop materials with look and feel of the Israel Free Spirit brand
Experience level and education:
- Minimum three – five years in marketing role
- Knowledge of US Jewish young adult community (especially Gen Z- a plus)
- Ability to work well as a team leader and independently
- Great customer service and written communication skills
- Experience in wordpress (or other CMS), email marketing system, basic HTML coding, canva
- Bachelor’s Degree
