Health Insurance Requirements

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION VERY CAREFULLY

During your 10-day Taglit-Birthright Israel trip, you are required to come to Israel with your own health insurance policy that is valid in Israel. We are required to record your heath insurance provider and policy number as part of the Secondary Application.

If you are not insured on your own or if your North American medical insurance policy does not cover you abroad, then you need to arrange for an insurance policy that covers you. If you need to obtain an inexpensive policy to fulfill this requirement, the easiest solution is to purchase travelers insurance through a company such as CTAS. In addition to medical insurance, the CTAS policy automatically provides a number of benefits:
