Ambassador Rules & FAQ 

How can I become an ambassador? Just register at the Ambassador page by entering your information and those that you are referring. To qualify it must be the first time they have been referred to us, be 18-26, and must be Jewish.

How do I get a free ticket to Israel? Ticketss are awarded for recruiting 10 students who succesfully complete an Israel Free Spirit Birthright Israel Trip in the  Winter 2009-10 recruitment season only, Ambassadors rewards reset each new trip season.  We will try to award your free ticket on one of our many affiliated Israel Trips as either staff or participant but reserve the right to just award a ticket.

 Can I use my free ticket to staff an Israel Free Spirit Taglit Birthright Israel trip?  We would love to have you staff one of our trips however, there are a lot of factors which we don't control.  If we need staff and you are eligible this will be our first choice.  There are many other opportunities that we offer to come back to Israel free or on highly subsidized trips. These include leadership missions and more. We reserve the right to reward Ambassadors with tickets to Israel that are associated with our other projects, some of which may not be affiliated with Taglit-Birthright Israel programs or a ticket by itself if nothing is available.  We appreciate your understanding!

What if I am not an Israel Free Spirit, NCSY, JSU or AIsh Alumni? The Ambassador program is open to all Jews who want to express their love of Israel by referring their friends to our Taglit-birthright israel trip.  .

How do you keep track of my referals? To be given credit Ambassadors MUST use the Ambassador Page.  Once the ticketing ends, we will send those who have earned tickets a report.  For the current recruitment period, we expect the report to be issued during November 2009.

Can people refer me as the person that recruited them? No, our Ambassador system requires that YOU (the ambassador) enter your friend's name into the Ambassador Page.  We will not be responsible for crediting you for referrals not entered in via the Ambassador Page.

What are the requirements for staffing a Taglit-Birthright Israel: Israel Free Spirit trip? The minimum requirements are: you must be at least 21 years old, have experience in Israel, exhibit leadership qualities and attend mandatory staff training sessions. Other qualifications may apply.

Tell me what to do! What can I do to more to recruit and promote? There are lots of things you can do to help us out. Email us for details about what's needed today. Israel Free Spirit provides promotional material to ambassadors if needed for tabling on campus, talking around your community. writing articles and marketing One on One (Personal recruiting is always the best way to encourage others to register for Israel FREE Spirit - talking to friends on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and similar sites is also highly reccomended. When will I be notified that I can staff a trip? Approximately one month before the first trips of the season depart is when we begin the staff selection process. We will be sending out communications at that time to qualified Ambassadors.
